With 15 Pritzker laureates – the “Nobel Prizes” of architecture-on its panel of lecturers, YACademy is the world’s first postgraduate institute resulting from the relationship and collaboration among the most distinguished firms in contemporary architecture.
Since its establishment, AIPAI has promoted, coordinated, and carried out research activities drawing on a range of disciplinary expertise, with the aim of analyzing industrial archaeological heritage in its multiple connections with the system of cultural and environmental assets and with the culture of labor, within a long-term perspective.
Among AIPAI’s objectives is the promotion of a higher level of operational and scientific collaboration between public and private institutions for the cataloguing, conservation, and enhancement of industrial heritage, as well as for the safeguarding of archives, machinery, and other testimonies of industrial civilization and labor, the training of professionals, and the promotion of industrial tourism.
